Size guide

How to measure, and how our stitched sizes run. Every ready-to-wear piece at Veera Studio follows the chart below unless the product page says otherwise.

How to measure

Measure over the underwear you would normally wear, with the tape comfortably snug and level with the floor. If you can, ask someone to take the measurements for you — self-measuring around the bust and hip is where most sizing mistakes happen.

  • Bust — around the fullest part of the chest, tape flat across the back.
  • Waist — around the narrowest part of the natural waist, usually just above the navel.
  • Hip — around the fullest part of the hips, roughly 20 cm below the waist.
  • Shoulder — from the tip of one shoulder bone across the back to the other.
  • Kameez length — from the top of the shoulder straight down to where you want the hem to sit.

Kameez and shirt sizing

All measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements. Our stitching adds ease on top.

Standard lengths

Unless a product page states otherwise, pieces are stitched to these lengths. If you need a different length, tell us in the order notes before we dispatch.

Between two sizes?

Size up. Pakistani formal wear is cut to skim rather than cling, and a slightly loose kameez can be taken in locally far more easily than a tight one can be let out. If the difference between your bust and hip spans two sizes, order for the larger measurement.

Custom and made-to-measure

Custom bridal and couture pieces are stitched to your own measurements rather than a standard size. Once you place a bespoke order we will send a full measurement form covering shoulder, sleeve, armhole, kameez length, trouser length and any adjustments you want.

Still not sure?

Send us your bust, waist, hip and height through the contact page before you order and we will confirm the closest size — it is far quicker than an international return. See our returns policy for what happens if a piece still does not fit.
